Hello Eddy Families! A reminder that tonight, September 10, 2025, there is a Brewster PTO meeting at 7pm at Stony Brook Elementary School. The agenda can be found here, and if you cannot make it in person, here is the Zoom link to login remotely. Also, this week a flyer will be going home to order mums as a fundraiser for the PTO. Each mum order costs $10, and helps support programming for our schools and students. A big thank you to Agway of Cape Cod for their support of this fundraiser! Congratulations to our first three green card winners of the school year! Students are recognized for demonstrating our core values at Eddy Elementary School: respect, empathy, accountability, determination, and your best. Students earn green cards throughout the week, issued by teachers at school, and one name is pulled from each grade on Friday morning. Students earn a prize, ranging from extra recess for their class to small fidget toys to lunch bunch with Mrs. Bono. This week, our winners were Lucy, Chase, and Jaxson. Congratulations to these three students for being recognized, and also to all our students who earned green cards this week!

It is located in the back of the building, and we are looking for some volunteers to help us plant vegetables for a fall harvest to use in our breakfasts and lunches at Eddy Elementary. If you are available to join us for some or all of some time on Thursday, July 31, 2025 from 9:00-11:00am, please do! All are welcome! The Stony Brook Principal Search Committee is pleased to announce two finalists to become the next Principal of Stony Brook Elementary School, effective July 1, 2025. The two finalists are Patrick Cone and Kayne Beaudry. All parents, caregivers, and community members are invited to meet and greet with the candidates on Tuesday afternoon, February 4, 2025, either in person at the Stony Brook Library or remotely via Google Meet. All are welcome. Mr. Cone's community forum is Tuesday, 2/4/25, from 4:00-4:30 pm; Mr. Beaudry's community forum is Tuesday, 2/4/25, from 4:45-5:15 pm. Eddy Elementary thanks and salutes our veterans in Brewster and everywhere for your service to our country. Part of the follow up from our Veterans Day assembly last week was having each student thread a poppy into this field of poppies as a symbol of their gratitude. It is currently displayed in Brewster Town Hall this week, and will rotate to the COA, and then the Ladies Library!
