Hello Eddy Elementary Families,
Generally speaking, I try to keep my communication to once a week via my newsletter, but there are three somewhat time-sensitive matters I want to mention to you:
Eddy Open House: Our Eddy Elementary Open House is scheduled for Wednesday, 9/16/26. Our open house is a true open house approach. It will occur from 5:30-6:30pm. You are encouraged to bring your student, and siblings are welcome. There is no set schedule, and you may attend for a short amount of time or the entire hour. Please click here for more information!
Student Assembly: We held our back-to-school all-school assembly this week. We discussed core values, "The Eddy Way," making mistakes, and what it means to be a community. I made a short screencast video of the presentation, so you are aware of what we discussed so you can discuss with your student. You can view that short video here.
9/11 Assembly: Tomorrow morning, we will hold a brief all-school assembly to recognize 9/11. Because of the sensitive nature of this day, I wanted to be sure to give you a heads up, and for you to know what we will and will not be discussing. The focus of the assembly is Good Deeds for September 11th. There will be no pictures of the attacks on 9/11, but I will mention two-three sentences about the details from the attacks, so students understand what happened. I will focus on the first responders who did good deeds, showing first responders gratitude, and explaining that doing our own good deeds is a way we can remember the people who lost their lives on 9/11. I will show students this website: https://www.911day.org/uniiteforgood/, and encourage them to do good deeds.
If you have any questions about these items, do not hesitate to let me know. I look forward to seeing many of you next week at Open House on 9/16/26 from 5:30-6:30pm.
Best,
Steve Guditus

Last week, Nauset staff kicked off the start of the 2026-2027 school year with Convocation at Nauset Regional High School!
Superintendent Dr. Glenn Brand welcomed everyone back with an exciting vision for the year ahead. Gian Paul Gonzalez, educator and founder of the Hope + Future Foundation, delivered an inspiring keynote motivating NPS staff to be ALL IN for our students, schools, and one another.
Special thank you to our student musicians from Eddy Elementary School, Nauset Regional Middle School, and Nauset Regional High School who provided the morning's musical accompaniment!

Our NPS staff members began the school year by committing to being ALL IN for our students, our schools, and each other. Thanks for the inspiration, Gian Paul Gonzalez!

Nauset Public Schools is catching the wave into a brand new school year! ๐
Whether this is your first First Day or your last First Day (or somewhere in between!) at NPS, we're thrilled to welcome you to the 2026-2027 school year. Here's to a very exciting year of learning, growth, and discovery ahead! ๐ก

Hello Eddy Families!
We are excited to start a new school year in just a few days!
If your student will be a PARENT PICK UP at dismissal please email me at reevess@nausetschools.org
Please specify if they will be picked up every day or any set days during the week.
If your student will be riding the bus every day or attending NYA every day you do not need to let me know as NYA provides us with weekly rosters*

Dear Nauset Families,
The Massachusetts Department of Elementary and Secondary Education (DESE) has launched the MCAS Family Portal, which lets families see their students' MCAS test results. Preliminary MCAS results from spring 2026 are currently available in the portal, along with results from past years (2023โ2025). The MCAS Family Portal will be updated in September when final MCAS results are ready.
To access the MCAS portal, you will need your studentโs unique registration code and their date of birth. To find your studentโs code, log into your Aspen Go Parent Portal, click on the Family tab, and look for the MCAS Registration Code box.
Using that code and your studentโs date of birth, sign into the MCAS Family Portal.
Need help? Contact us at aspen@nausetschools.org
For more resources, see the MCAS Family Portal Help Guide at www.doe.mass.edu/mcas/family-portal, which shows you step by step how to create an account, add your student to your account, and view your student's test results.
Thank you.

Happy Summer! I hope that you and your family are having a relaxing, productive, and fun-filled summer! I want to take a moment to send along a reminder of some summer information that was sent home in the last few days of school, but may have been missed with the flurry of the last few days of the school year!
