Introducing Green Threads, Nauset Green Club’s thrift store! As you may remember from last year, Green Threads used to have a rack of clothes in the Librateria. What you may not know is that this organization spreads much farther than a couple of random t-shirts where you would eat lunch. Green Threads has a pop up stand at the Orleans Farmers Market every Saturday from 9-12 am and also takes part in various other events on Cape including the Chatham Environmental Fair. The Green Club is also working towards finding space in the new building to have a shop on campus. Buying secondhand clothing is incredibly helpful to the environment, keeping clothes out of landfills and encourages sustainability over fast fashion. And the best part? Everything is $3! Remember, “it doesn’t need to be new to be awesome!”

NRHS makes the switch to metal silverware! The construction of the new cafeteria has allowed us to eliminate the use of single use silverware in the lunchroom. This reduction of plastic waste is extremely beneficial to the environment, and students rave about the improvement!

Make sure to drop of your silverware!
“It’s very environmentally friendly and more functional than plastic.”
“i like to bring my own… I like saving the environment!”
Silverware being sanitized
“I love my metal fork!"
“I think it’s good we’re using less plastic."
“It’s a big step for green club."
“it’s very sustainable and good for the environment.”
Don’t throw them out!
“i think it’s very good that we’re starting to use less plastic, and i think the silverware is a good start at a step forward as a school to move forward and use less plastic.”
