Dear Members of the Nauset Community,

Please note that Nauset Public Schools will open two hours later tomorrow, Tuesday, January 27.

Tremendous progress was made today in cleaning up from the storm across all of our campuses. However, with additional snow forecasted overnight and very cold temperatures expected, there is concern that untreated areas could freeze and impact road safety.

The two-hour delay will allow town road crews and school custodial staff additional time to treat roads, walkways, and parking areas to help ensure safer conditions for students and staff.

On a related note, please continue to pay close attention to the upcoming forecast. We are expecting extremely cold temperatures in the coming days, so please dress appropriately.

Thank you for your support and understanding.

Sincerely,
Glenn Brand
Superintendent of Schools

Good Afternoon Grade 8 Families:
The NRMS Yearbook Club would like to make the 2026 yearbook extra special for the 8th graders leaving NRMS this year.

Here are ways families can help us:

  1. Send in a baby/younger-aged picture of your 8th grader for the yearbook. We would like to ask that no one else be in the picture. Please email a high-resolution photo to Cali Conroy at conroyc@nausetschools.org and include your child’s first and last name in the subject line. Due to various deadlines, there is a Feb 13th deadline for sending in pictures.

  2. Write a personalized message for your student that they will have forever by purchasing a personal advertisement click on this link: yearbookforever.com
Deadline: March 31 st (Personal messages will be available on a first come first serve basis as there are limited pages available*)

Email Cali Conroy at conroyc@nausetschools.org with questions, feedback, or concerns.

Thank you for your continuous support,
Cali Conroy & the NRMS Yearbook Club

Hello 7th Grade Parents/Guardians,

Please remember to have your 7th grader return their signed permission slip this week to visit Cape Cod Tech Tuesday 1/13/26 - Mosaic Team and Thursday 1/15/26 - Synergy Team.

All students are expected to attend on their scheduled date. Students will board the bus provided by Cape Cod Tech at NRMS around 8:45am and return to the middle school at approximately 1pm. Cape Cod Tech is providing lunch for our students.

We believe it is beneficial for students to learn about Cape Cod Tech regardless of their intention to apply for acceptance to attend high school. Students who determine that they would like to apply will be informed about the process and timeline for 8th grade.

Please do not hesitate to reach out with any questions about the CCT visits and/or application process.

Sincerely,
Shelby Williams
Grade Level Counselor

NRMS: Grade 7 Health Screenings

01/05/2026

Dear Families of NRMS 7th Graders,

Nauset Regional Middle School will be conducting the annual Screenings for all 7th Grade students starting the week of January 26th. The screenings conducted will include: Height/Weight, Vision, Hearing, SBIRT and Postural Screenings. These are state required screenings. If your child has been screened by their primary care provider this year, and we have received that documentation, they will not be re-screened. All students will be screened unless you have already provided an updated physical to the nurse or if you opt your child out using this form Opt. Out Form and send their updated physical into the nurse. Please complete Opt-Out form by January 23, 2026.

  • For the Postural Screening, students should come to school each day that week prepared to participate. Female students should wear a swimsuit or halter top under their regular clothing. This type of clothing permits a more accurate view of the spinal column. All students will be screened by the nurses only.

  • For a description of SBIRT Screenings, please click on the document link: HERE

  • Parents can opt out their child from any screenings by using the provided Google Form: Opt. Out Form

If the nurse has any concerns you will be notified and asked to take your child to their physician for further evaluation. If your child’s screening is within normal limits you will not be contacted.

Thank you so much for your cooperation!

Sincerely,
Bonnie Hartung, RN
Allison Kelley, RN
Amy Cianfaglione, RN
