GUIDANCE SERVICES
The Guidance Department provides and assists in academic, social-emotional and career development for all students in collaboration with parents, teachers and staff. Recognizing each student as a complex and unique individual, counselors use a holistic approach to help ALL students achieve excellence.
Nauset’s school counseling program is aligned with the Massachusetts Model for
Comprehensive School Counseling. Counselors deliver a standards-based curriculum to ALL students in Grades 9-12 through individual counseling and small group counseling.
A major area of focus is guiding students toward greater independence in preparation
for transition to college or the workforce.
While students are the primary focus of counselors, positive relationships with families, teachers, and the community are also crucial to the success of the program.Department Head
